The Anonymous Message to Scientology

(The following is in response to the diatribe of Jean Lariviere, Director of Public Affairs, published in the Montreal Gazette on the 5th of September, 2008)

Todays society, advanced though it may be, is too often filled with misinformation meant to further the ends of corporate parties. The Church of Scientology is just such a corporation. Expect contradiction from the hierarchy of this organization, but though the denial is rigorous, it is now impossible to conceal the self-apparent truth. The Church of Scientology is corrupt.

But how can one be certain? The worldwide Anonymous movement, among others, has invested copious amounts of time and effort, uncovering many of the immoral facets that Scientology obscures from the public light. Many of these activities are unlawful, unethical, and an affront to basic human rights.

The allegations are serious, and so numerous that listing all of them would be a lengthy exertion; however, among them include false representation, child labor, and dangerous authoritarian behavior. All of these claims bear the seal of authenticity and first hand testimony.

The Church of Scientology has reflected indictment, naturally trying to deface the reputation of Anonymous in an attempt to salvage its own. But even if they were true, these accusations are invalid. This is not a debate, this is not even a dispute. The recently exposed facts can lead to only one conclusion; the Church of Scientology must cease to operate in its present form.

It is in the hands of the public to further, and eventually complete this goal. To any persons who remain uncertain of their stance in this issue, Anonymous begs them to research the history of Scientology at any depth; those who do will find the unfortunate course of action before us necessary. Anonymous has revealed truths that cannot be re-buried and Anonymous has no reason to lie. But does the Church of Scientology ?

    the only reason we call it a cult is because of the bullshit they pull “unlike christianity.” like giving stress tests, saying your stressed and the only way to fix that is to take thousand dollar auditing classes. and they make you take auditing classes to move up in “rank” or “perfecting themselves.” christianity is about beleif not about how much money you have. and they also terrorize people that protest them, which would be there “fair game polacy” you should look it up.

    And why would a genius invent a fictional life story for himself? Why did he claim to have won a “British victory medal” which does not even exist? Why edit it into the photos?

    Sorry Gabiwynne, thanks for standing up for me (although I suspect it was more to do with our shared Irishness than anything else!) but I have to be honest with you, I abhor Scientology and everything it stands for. I was merely playing devils advocate, (e.g. that Anonymous was turning into a cult itself) plus I was just trying to wind-up
