O Scale Schenectady Building For Don Klose’s Bellevue & Schenectady O Scale Empire

Again this week we head back to Schenectady section of Don’s Bellevue & Schenectady O Gauge Railroad. Don wanted more of the Schenectady skyline on his layout, so the next in the series is this one, The Gazette Building of Schenectady, NY. Based on the prototype on State Street in the Electric City..

On the rooftop, THE DONOVISION !! Donovision is an electronic billboard featuring ads from the Schenectady area and news headlines

The building includes interiors and lighting also.

To see more of Don’s O gauge layout, please see the Aug/Sept, Run 320 issue of O Gauge Railroading magazine. The see more of this buiding and many others we have created, visit us at www.mmscalestructures.com

  1. I know they call it …
I know they call it Urban Renewal but preserving the past which is so important to Schenectady and even in the area of NJ I live in doesn’t exist.

At lease we helped preserve the old State St. for this person’s layout . it is not the same, but it is something at least. We did most of the important Shectady buildings like the Davidson Building, Olenders, Nicholas Block and others for his layout.
