Cedar Rapids, IA gets its holiday tree

Larry Lewis and his wife Christine have a new look to their front yard.

That’s what happens when you remove a 32-foot evergreen tree from the mix.

The Lewis family decided to donate the tree to the city to use as its holiday tree on Mays Island. The Colorado Blue Spruce was cut down in the Lewis yard this morning and had a police escort as it rolled down 16th Avenue SW.
