Jobs & Careers fair hailed first class

A flood of visitors went to check out a large number of jobs on offer at Luton’s first Jobs & Careers fair. Some 20 organisations showcased to potential employees at the Auction House recruitment and training event.

The event was sponsored by privately owned residential developments managers Peverel OM, which look after more than 70,000 homes in the UK and are expanding in the Luton area.

Bronwen Anderson of Peverel OM was very impressed with the event. She said: ‘As this was our first recruitment event in the local area, we were pleased with the numbers of prospective candidates. Many will go on to interview for positions in our company.’

Local newspapers The Herald&Post The Luton News and Dunstable Gazette supported the event and had a very successful time with many visitors uploading their CVs to the expert job seeking website www.jobstoday.co.uk.

Jobs & Careers events match visitors looking for careers and training opportunities with companies looking to recruit staff in a relaxed and informal way.

Jobs & Careers Luton will return next year. Organisations or individuals interested in taking part in any of the 2009 events should contact Kevin Hodge on 01823 362808 or Kevin.hodge@prospects.co.uk
